Choices the client should make early

Data minimization

Remove unrelated pages or details where they are not needed for assessment, but retain all content that must be translated or checked.

Restricted processing

State any requirement for an NDA, named team, particular country, offline workflow, prohibited tool, secure delivery, short retention or deletion before accepting a quotation.

Safe communication

Use the confirmed Translation.pk channel. Email, WhatsApp, payment services, couriers and cloud platforms have their own security and privacy conditions.

Access only where needed

Who information may be shared with

Translation.pk does not sell client files or contact information as a data-broker product. Limited sharing may be needed to provide or protect the service.

International access and service providers

A suitable translator, interpreter, reviewer, client contact, hosting service or technical provider may be located outside Pakistan. This can result in information being processed in another country with different legal and operational protections.

If the project requires all information to remain in Pakistan, a particular jurisdiction, a client-controlled environment or an approved vendor list, disclose that restriction before confirmation so feasibility and cost can be assessed.

Machine translation and AI-assisted tools

Public consumer AI or machine-translation services are not automatically approved channels for confidential client files. Whether any automated or AI-assisted tool may be used depends on the confirmed service, client instructions, confidentiality, file sensitivity and the approved workflow.

Clients with a prohibition, approved-tool list, private deployment or disclosure requirement must state it before confirmation. Human responsibility for the agreed deliverable remains essential.

Security measures and working practices

  • Quotation uploads use randomized filenames
  • Uploaded files are stored in a protected, non-executable location
  • Access is limited according to operational need
  • Project references help avoid unnecessary file duplication
  • Secure-transfer or NDA requirements can be agreed
  • Suspicious requests and unauthorized access may be investigated

No system is completely risk-free

Reasonable safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security for internet transmission, email, messaging, hosting, devices, couriers or third-party systems. Use agreed channels, verify recipients and notify Translation.pk promptly if a file was sent incorrectly or account misuse is suspected.

Retention, backups and deletion

Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed for quotation follow-up, project performance, correction support, client history, accounting, security, legal obligations and disputes, or for a period specifically agreed with the client.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove encrypted backups, email copies, accounting records or information that must reasonably be retained. Backup copies should age out through normal cycles and not be restored for unrelated use.

Access, correction and privacy requests

You may ask Translation.pk to confirm, access, correct or delete personal information associated with you. You may also raise an objection or restriction request relevant to the project.

Identity, authority and the relevant quotation or project reference may need to be verified. A request may be limited where information concerns another person or must reasonably be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security or dispute purposes.

Cookies and website technology

The website may use essential session or security-related cookies and similar technical values needed to operate forms, remember temporary request state and protect the service. These are not intended to build an advertising profile.

If optional analytics, advertising or new tracking technologies are introduced, this policy and any appropriate consent controls should be updated before or when those technologies are deployed.

Children and third-party information

The website is not directed at children for independent purchasing. A parent, guardian or authorized adult should manage a service involving a minor’s documents.

When you submit information about another person—such as a family member, employee, client or applicant—you confirm that you are authorized to do so and should inform them where appropriate.

Practical privacy questions

Client files and personal data FAQs

Why does Translation.pk need to see my document?

The file is normally needed to identify language, volume, readability, subject, formatting, certification and delivery requirements and to provide or perform the requested service.

Should I remove information before requesting a quotation?

Where possible, remove pages or sensitive fields that are unrelated to the quotation. Do not remove information that must be translated or assessed for the intended use.

Who may access a project file?

Access may be provided to coordinators and suitable translators, interpreters, reviewers or necessary service providers involved in assessing, performing, delivering or supporting the requested service.

Are uploaded files publicly accessible?

Quotation uploads are intended for internal project handling and use randomized stored names in a protected, non-executable location. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Does Translation.pk sell client personal data?

Translation.pk does not sell client documents or contact information as a data-broker product. Information may be shared only for service delivery, necessary providers, authorized instructions or lawful obligations as described in this policy.

Does Translation.pk use client documents for marketing?

Confidential client documents are not intentionally published as examples without permission. Marketing examples should be independently created, authorized or suitably anonymized.

Can my project involve a translator in another country?

It may, where a suitable language professional or service provider is located outside Pakistan. Tell Translation.pk before confirmation if data must remain in a particular country or environment.

How long are project files retained?

Retention depends on quotation status, project delivery, revision support, accounting, disputes, agreed instructions, backups and legal needs. Request a project-specific retention or deletion arrangement before confirmation when timing is important.

Can I request correction or deletion of my information?

You may contact Translation.pk to request access, correction or deletion. Identity and authority may need to be verified, and some records may be retained where reasonably required for legal, accounting, security or dispute purposes.

Does the website use cookies?

The website may use essential session or security-related cookies needed for forms and site operation. This policy should be updated if optional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced.

Should I send identity documents through social media?

Use the channel agreed for the project and avoid sending unnecessary identity data. Social and messaging platforms have their own privacy practices outside Translation.pk control.

How do I report a privacy concern?

Use the official contact page, identify the relevant quotation or project reference and describe the concern without resending unnecessary sensitive information.

Raise a privacy or file-handling request

Use the official contact page and include the relevant quotation or project reference without resending unnecessary sensitive material.
