USCIS document translation requirements

U.S. immigration submissions frequently rely on complete civil and relationship records. USCIS rules require a full English translation of a foreign-language document together with translator certification of completeness, accuracy and competence.

A submitted foreign-language document should be accompanied by a full English translation. The translator certification should confirm that the translation is complete and accurate and that the translator is competent to translate from the source language into English.

Certified translation for USCIS

USCIS translation certification is an accuracy and competence statement; it is not automatically a notarization. The relevant petition, visa or evidence instructions should still be checked.
